Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what we collect when you use this website or send us a quote request, what we do with it, and how to ask us about it. We've written it in plain English and kept it to what actually happens.

Who we are

This website is run by Brian Munro Signs (ABN 27 182 820 872), trading as Vehicle Wrapping Adelaide. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Brian Munro Signs. You can reach us at Unit 24 / 2-8 Gray St, Kilkenny SA 5009, or on 08 8345 3177.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we collect the details you type into the form: your name, phone number, email address, the type of vehicle, its make and model if you give them, the service you're interested in and any message you write. We also receive any photos or logo files you attach.

Photos of a vehicle can include its number plate, and sometimes people, houses or other vehicles in the background. We only need the vehicle itself, so please crop or retake photos that show more than that.

If you call us or visit the workshop, we keep the details you give us for the same reasons as a form enquiry.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting server keeps standard logs of visits, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed and the time of each visit. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and we don't use them to identify individual visitors.

This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font service. The map on our Contact page and homepage is provided by Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads. Google's use of that information is covered by Google's privacy policy.

How we use your information

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and design proof, and, if you go ahead, book in and complete the job. We may also keep a record of the work for warranty, accounting and tax purposes.

We don't add you to a mailing list, send you marketing, or sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services we need to run the website and our email. That means our web hosting provider, which receives the form submission, and our email provider, which delivers it to our inbox. Google receives standard technical information when the embedded map loads. We don't pass your details to other businesses for their own use.

We may disclose information if the law requires us to, for example in response to a court order.

Storage outside Australia

Our email is provided by Telstra through BigPond. Telstra may store or process email data using systems outside Australia. You can read how Telstra handles that information in Telstra's privacy statement. Google may also process map-related information overseas.

How we keep it secure

This website uses HTTPS, so the details and files you send through the quote form are encrypted on the way to us. Files are sent straight to our email as attachments and are not kept on the web server. Access to the inbox where quote requests arrive is limited to the staff who handle quotes.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and job records for up to seven years, in line with Australian business record-keeping requirements. After that, we delete them. If you'd like your details deleted sooner and we don't need them for a job or for our records, ask us and we will.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Call the office manager on 08 8345 3177, or write to the Office Manager, Unit 24 / 2-8 Gray St, Kilkenny SA 5009. We'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact the office manager first using the details above and we'll try to sort it out. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The current version is always the one published here.
